Kim began her PT career in Atlanta, followed by two years of practice in Hanover, Pennsylvania before returning to her hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Her broad based experience includes acute care general medical hospital, skilled nursing facility, home health and outpatient therapy.
In December 2003, Kim opened Roanoke Rehabilitation and Wellness, Inc., an outpatient PT practice working one-on-one with patients from 10 years of age to seniors. Many clients have returned to Roanoke Rehab and Wellness over the past eleven years as their needs have changed and when physical therapy was indicated.
Areas of practice include: chronic pain (conditions such as Fibromyalgia and degenerative arthritis), acute pain (conditions associated with accidents, falls and sports related injuries), as well as management and treatment of headaches, TMJ, post joint replacements and back and neck pain.
Kim has experience treating patients who experience dizziness and balance disturbances. She has training in the McKenzie Method, manual therapy skills and Dry Needling (intramuscular stimulation). Continuing education and training remain a priority for her practice and standards of care.
Kim is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (since 1987) and a member of the Virginia Physical Therapy Association (since 1998).
